My name is Anh Nguyen. I am a twenty-something hatched and nurtured in Saigon, Vietnam. I've been living abroad ever since I was 15 years old. I have lived and traveled to 40+ countries, mainly the Americas, Asia and Europe. I live to travel and travel to live!

I’m a specialist in international trade and business development. I work with clients from all continents and depending to whom, I speak English, Spanish and Vietnamese (and occasionally Mandarin Chinese out of business context). 

I also enjoy singing and playing the ukulele. A good jam session always leaves me this tingly happy feeling. 

Behind Anh de Vietnam / Travel with a Vietnamese passport:

This blog is my travel journal as a female backpacker with a weaker passport. Unlike many occidental nationalities, Vietnamese citizens don’t usually have the luxury to just book a spontaneous trip, hop on the plane and get stamped on arrival. We have to go through a long mundane process of visa application. Worse, rejection happens more frequent than we would ever like. However, all these complications by no means make us any less curious about the world and my travel adventures along many others Vietnamese travelers’ are a proof. 

I think all travel stories are meant to be shared, I just decided that blogging would be my way to document my adventures and connect with other travel enthusiasts / backpackers / young professionals and you, whoever you decide yourself to be.
